PreConstruction
Streamline subcontractor prequalification. Viewpoint V6 Software’s PreConstruction module extends the integration by offering everyone instant access to your pool of qualified contractors.

Prequalification ensures you have a portfolio of contractors qualified to meet the quality, timelines and budgets on projects they’re awarded. You cannot afford surprises on the job – and no one is well-served if an unqualified contractor is awarded a job. Once you have a solid list of contractor resources, you can be more confident going into the competitive bidding process.

Most companies currently use spreadsheets, text documents and paper-based forms to collect prequalification data. Now you can extend the integration of Viewpoint V6 Software with our new PreConstruction module. This facilitates the vetting and selection of subcontractors for including in your bidding process.

To provide flexibility in collecting and sharing this information, you can print reports based on specific sorting and filtering options and either generate a blank form you can distribute to subcontractors and later use for data entry or allow subcontractors to input their information online through integration with Viewpoint Connects.

While public works projects generally require the lowest bidder to be awarded the job, prequalification uses objective criteria to evaluate your contractor pool. It also offers the chance to provide feedback on why a contractor was not selected for a project – and increase their ability to compete in the future. It gives you confidence in all contractors you invite to bid.

This first component addresses Phase 1 of the construction process: identifying the available pool of qualified subcontractors. Future releases over the next three years will add Phase 2 - Intent to Bid, Phase 3 - Design/Build Budget Revisions, and Phase 4 – Job History and Marketing.

The subcontractor prequalification form allows you to easily collect consistent information in three main areas:
* General Overview – Head Counts, Technology, Ownership, Contacts, Legal
* Legal and Financial – Safety, OSHA, Quality, Insurance, Liability, Finances, Bonding, CPA
* Capabilities – Projects, Project Types, States, Regions, Scopes, Unions, References

Within these areas, you are able to:
* Turn tabs on and off to control which data you collect
* Control the topics you want to collect by configuring the form according to your recipients
* Use custom fields to tailor the form exactly for your company’s needs
